Mr. Owens received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 from Clemson University. He currently serves as a guest speaker for the mechanical engineering senior design class at Clemson University since spring of 2019.
Mr. Owens has 31 years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical contracting and design and construction of power distribution transformers. He has been with Owens and Associates since 1998 and has worked on hundreds of educational projects throughout the state of South Carolina. His expertise and dedication to the field earned Mr. Owens a position as a voting member of the South Carolina Public Schools Facility Engineering Subcommittee. In addition, he was awarded the Excellence in Design Award from the Charleston County Deputy of Capital Projects in October of 2015.
Mr. Owens is a registered Engineer in the State of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. He is a member of the National and South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association.

Mr. Koewler joined Owens and Associates, Inc. in 2018 and serves as a Mechanical Designer specializing in plumbing design. He is proficient in drafting, modeling, and design to create accurate and detailed drawings for architectural projects. Mr. Koewler has worked on over 70 educational projects for Owens and Associates Inc. and is familiar with building codes and regulations associated with this market.
Drew Owens, B.S.M.E.

Mr. Owens joined Owens and Associates, Inc. in 2025 and serves as a Mechanical Designer. He has experience in HVAC system design, 3D coordination modeling, and control systems, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and programming. Mr. Owens is actively involved in construction administration, including field observations, contractor coordination, shop drawing review, and project closeout activities.

Mrs. Owens serves as the secretary and treasurer for Owens and Associates, Inc. since 2017. Prior to joining Owens and Associates, Inc., Mrs. Owens had 8 years of experience in capital project management in chemical and pulp and paper industries. She is responsible for project coordination and production.
